The Local Artist

Local artists contribute greatly to a community and a society. Yet increasingly, they are marginalized and their work ignored by both the national and local media. This is really missed an opportunity for a community as their work is so very often unique, beautiful and affordable.

It took me so long when I decided to make a blog regarding one of the many artists I had known in town due to lack of time. Now I’m glad enough to have some space to write some point here with regards to this man who have good hands in innovating things that look nothing into something that is extraordinary.

His name is Remar Coniato best known for his nickname “LOLOY”. Without the knowledge of others, this man is very much creative and talented enough in making artworks that make their home relaxing and fresh. His works chronicles himself for being a nature lover for all of his works are in nature's theme.

All of his works are indigenous and did not cost much money to realize his products. Let’s take a look at his works and let us see what you can say about this man and his creations.

Upon entering of their home, you will be entertained by his works. From ceiling decor to wall decor all are made in indigenous materials particularly rope, bamboo, and coconut.
